It’s a gigantomungous book giveaway!

* THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO TOOK PART!  THE DRAW IS NOW CLOSED AND THE WINNERS ARE DENISE THE ALIEN AND RACHAEL THE PIRATE!  WILL BE IN TOUCH TO ARRANGE FOR YOUR BOOKS TO BE POSTED. *

This month is an exciting one.  I have three books out on 28 May!  Three!  It seems hard to believe that only four years ago I was submitting manuscripts and wondering if I would ever find someone who liked what I wrote.  So to celebrate I would like to give  a signed copy of each of them to you, dear reader, plus a copy of the latest Pluto book, Teachers on Pluto.  That’s what I would like to do anyway, but I can’t, because I can’t give away a thousand copies.  So instead I will do a draw.

The Pirate Package

You have two choices: The Pirate Who Lost His Name picture book plus Slugs in Space early reader (henceforth to be known as The Pirate Package, even though one of them is a slug), or Teachers on Pluto junior fiction and Turns Out I’m an Alien middle grade books (The Alien Package).  To enter the draw, just let me know in the comments section whether you are a pirate or an alien.  I will draw the two winners on 28 May.  Good luck!

  1. Wow, what an achievement in such a short space of time! I hope you have a quadruple happy publication day on 28 May! I’d love to be entered in the draw for the pirate package please 😊

  2. Hi Lou Congratulations to you and you deserve it.   I almost gave up writing because of the lack of acceptances, but you’ve given me hope to keep trying.  Your books sound really good and exciting and I’m sure they will become BEST sellers. I would love a signed book from you.  It would be great to read and learn from you too.  I would love : ‘Turns Out I am an Alien Alien’ and, or the ‘Slugs In Space.’  We are now in the Space research era and it won’t be long before we find extra terrestrial friends one day soon.  They seem to be just the sort of books that kids would love. You’re gonna be famous. RegardsJanet Jarrrett

  3. Hi Lou – congratulations! That is such wonderful news. Does that happen to anyone (or has it happened to anyone before!!!) Just pure fantastic! 😊

Is the giveaway open to US residents? If so, I am definitely an alien – I feel different, sometimes very different, love flying, stars and space and I am quite sure I have an extra eye somewhere on my head as I always catch my children when they are up to no good!

    Congratulations again!

  4. Congratulations, Lou! Wow – inspiring indeed! Thanks for offering a draw prize of your packages; for the récord, I’m both pirate and alien but I don’t like space as much as I like the ocean so I’m going to go with PIRATE 😬

  5. Congratulations! Still hope for me yet then. People like you do give us inspiration. I would love to be an alien. Thank you for all the tips you give us.
